A first taste of mountaineering in the snow, learning how to move in a snowy mountain environment. We invite you to this short mountaineering discovery day for families with teenagers aged 12 and up. Accompanied by a high-mountain guide, you'll discover all the necessary equipment for navigating the mountains: crampons, ice axes, carabiners, ropes, etc. Heading out onto snowy slopes or the first snowfields, you'll learn how to put on crampons, how to move in the snow with crampons, how to rope up, and how to arrest a fall on a snowy slope. And for fun, we promise plenty of sliding! In short, the basics of mountaineering. See you soon!
Introductory winter mountaineering accessible to most people in good physical condition and to teenagers from 15 years old. Approximately 4 hours of activity.
