A winter hike in the heights above Gavarnie, offering fantastic views of the Gavarnie cirque ridges, the Brèche de Roland, and the Vignemale massif. Away from the crowds, we'll guide you on this beautiful, wild, and spectacular route that crosses high-altitude snowfields between a rolling plateau and a small, snow-covered mountain pass at 2,300 meters. You'll love hiking through the untamed mountains among the highest snow-capped peaks of the Pyrenees. Chamois (mountain ibex) can also be seen in the rockier areas, offering a spectacular sight as they flee. Vultures and other birds of prey circle in the skies on clear days, displaying their graceful aerial presence.

A brisk snowshoe hike accessible to most hikers in good physical condition and to younger participants from 14 years old. The day runs from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm with approximately 5 hours of actual walking and an elevation gain of 600 m.
