Snowshoeing in Barèges above the village of Betpouey, on the north-facing slope. This hike will take you through the snow-covered fields of the magnificent meadows of the Plateau de Lumières, leading to a beautiful valley and, for the more experienced, to the summit of Mount Agut and its panoramic views to the south and across the valley. You will appreciate the diverse landscapes you traverse: the snow-covered barns bear witness to a still-active pastoral tradition; emerging from the woods, the contrast of wide-open spaces reveals a hidden cabin and a view of the Pic du Midi and its observatory. A truly magnificent viewpoint.

A brisk snowshoe hike accessible to most hikers in good physical condition and to younger people from 15 years old. The day runs from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm with approximately 6 hours of actual walking and an elevation gain of 700 m to 1000 m.
